The international workshop "What is it to be human? Engaging the possibilities of living together" takes place from 7th - 8th of July 2022 at Freie Universität (Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies, Hittorfstraße 18, 14195 Berlin). Bei einem Buffet und Getränken, gibt es die Gelegenheit, neue Verbindungen zu knüpfen, sich gegenseitig und die Arbeiten der Medienakademie-Mentees kennenzulernen. September 2022 ab 18 Uhr werden in Form einer Vernissage die Ergebnisse präsentiert werden, wozu wir Sie herzlich in den 'Salon Babette' einladen. Wir möchten Sie und Euch herzlich zur Vernissage und Abschlussveranstaltung der M.AKA 2022 einladen:Īm 8. Sie sollen sich in eigenen kreativen Projekten dem Thema „Kulturellen Praktiken in einer postmigrantischen Gesellschaft wertschätzen und im Zusammenleben neu denken“ nähern und sich kreativ damit auseinandersetzen. Über ein halbes Jahr lang werden darin acht jungen Netzwerkmitglieder der Jungen Islam Konferenz von Mentor*innen in einem von drei Schwerpunktbereichen begleitet: Fotografie, Film und journalistisches Schreiben. In diesem Jahr findet der zweite Jahrgang der „M.AKA“ in Kooperation mit der der Berlin University Alliance im Projekt RePLITO ("Beyond Social Cohesion: Global Repertoires of Living Together") statt. Aus diesem Grund haben wir im letzten Jahr die JIK Medienakademie gestartet. ![]() Ein Grund dafür ist, dass wir häufig nur die Perspektive derjenigen lesen und hören, die nicht selbst von den ausgrenzenden Diskursen betroffen sind. Nicht selten kommt es dabei zu stereotypen Darstellungen, durch die sich junge Muslim*innen falsch repräsentiert fühlen. Islam und Muslim*innen sind laufend Gegenstand von medialer Berichterstattung.
